Assignments, Detours and Meetings

I like to make art that is about ideas and I would call it conceptual if that didn’t sound too pretentious, dry or off-putting.  My main interest and subject is art itself - why people make it and what they choose to make art ‘about’.
I like to work in both new and old media.  My work is very divergent and has no very recognisable personal style and no consistent subject matter.  Along with ideas I enjoy the processes of making and have always seen ‘Jack of all trades’ as something to aspire to rather than avoid.

The work on this site represents my practice from the final year of my degree course in Fine Art at Bucks New University in 2013 and up to the present including my four years as a student and three years as a tutor at Warehouse Art School at OVADA in Oxford.  It falls into three categories - Assignments, Detours and Meetings.
